Ultrasonic Liposuction (UAL)
The most popular cosmetic surgery procedure in the U.S., liposuction sculpts the body by removing undesirable fat that has not responded to diet and exercise from areas such as the abdomen, waist, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, chin, cheeks, neck and upper arms. Local anesthesia or general anesthesia may be used, and the procedure can last anywhere from one to five hours depending on the amount of fat being removed.
There are several different methods surgeons use when performing liposuction, the procedure we perform is ultrasound-assisted lipectomy (UAL). In a UAL procedure, fluid is injected into the area to be treated. Then a tiny incision is made in as inconspicuous a place as possible, and a cannula (small tube) breaks up the fat layer and suctions it out.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Abdominoplasty helps to flatten and shape the abdomen and waist by removing excess fat and skin and tightening muscles. The best candidates have pockets of fat or loose skin that haven’t responded well to diet and exercise. The procedure can also be useful for women with stretched skin and muscles from pregnancy.
The procedure takes approximately two to five hours and can be performed with general anesthesia or local anesthesia with a sedative. Recovery time ranges from two weeks to a few months. With a balanced diet and regular exercise, results are long-lasting. Abdominoplasty will likely leave a scar above the pubic area which will fade with time, although it should be low enough for even a bikini to conceal it.

Labiaplasty San Francisco
Labiaplasty is a plastic surgery procedure to reduce and to balance the size of the labia minora, the inner lips of the vulva, or external female genitals. Women with large labia can experience pain during intercourse. They may feel discomfort during daily activities and not feel comfortable in tight fitting clothing. Some women with large labia may feel unattractive and be self conscience during sexual activities.
Surgical labial reduction can be done in our San Francisco office and can greatly improve the aesthetic appearance of excessively enlarged labia. Women may be born with large labia while other may develop enlarged labia with childbirth or age.
Women who are experiencing sexual dysfunction, embarrassment because their labia are oversized or uneven in size or shape, are good candidates for Labiaplasty.
In cases where there is too much padding over the mons pubis, or too much fullness in the labia majora, liposuction can be preformed to reduce the fatty fullness. After Labiaplasty, the vulva has a more aesthetic, youthful appearance as the labia minora no longer protrude outside the outer vaginal lips.
Dr. Suess performs Labiaplasty as an outpatient procedure under twilight or general anesthesia, in his fully accredited ambulatory surgical suite.
Dr. Suess removes the excess tissue from the labia minora and uses dissolving sutures which absorb in about a week. Patients are up and moving the next day. Patients can return to work in 3 to 4 days and may resume sexual relations in 4 to 6 weeks.
Dr. Suess will perform a complimentary medial history and physical examination to better evaluate and advise you on the various aspects of Labiaplasty surgery. He will answer any questions you have about the procedure and describe in detail how the surgery is performed and what type of anesthesia would be used.
Call for a complimentary consultation at our San Francisco Office, 415-567-1791 or our Walnut Creek office, 925-280-9700.

Pectoral Implants for Men
You exercise. You work out. But no matter how rigorously you train, it appears that you just cannot develop or define your pectoral muscles. You are not alone. Even some bodybuilders have trouble developing pectoral muscles that are in proportion to the rest of their body. That is where pectoral implants can help.
Pectoral implants can be used for those men with underdevelopment of their chest muscles or for those men who have a congenital defect or injury. The implants are placed under the pectoral muscle so that the implant does not feel or look fake. Instead, the implants give you an appearance of a well-flexed and well-defined pectoral muscle.
Depending on your body shape and the length and size of your existing muscles will be the factors involved in determining the size of your implants. The surgery usually takes between one and two hours to complete and in some cases can be combined with liposuction in order to create optimal results. The combination of these two procedures can give you the optimal results you want.
